Best Places to Work 2014: Get Your Company In the Running
Think your company deserves a little recognition for its great company culture, competitive compensation and benefits packages, and attractive perks? And equally important, think your employees would agree?
If you answered yes to both, then it’s time to roll up your sleeves and help get your company in the running for Glassdoor’s annual Employees’ Choice Awards, honoring the Best Places to Work. Here are a few tips on what you can do to make sure your company puts its best foot forward.
Update Your Company Profile: Employee size matters in the awards. New this year, we’ll be honoring both large (1,000 employees or more) and mid-sized companies (250-999 employees). To help make sure we have your employee count correct, update your basic company profile information.
- How? Register for a free employer account. Visit your company’s employer center, select the company profile tab, and then update your company details. Employee counts must be current as of November 1, 2013. Note Glassdoor will also independently verify employee counts.
Encourage Employees to Share a Company Review: Winners are chosen based entirely on employee feedback. All approved company reviews shared on Glassdoor between November 14, 2012 and November 12, 2013 will be considered for the award. To be eligible, a company with 1,000 or more employees must receive at least 50 approved company reviews, and a company with between 250-999 employees must receive at least 20 approved company reviews. (Don’t forget to share a company review of your own – whether you’re the head of HR, a new employee or the CEO, your review counts.)
- How? Download a template email to encourage employee feedback, paste it into an email to all your employees, and click send. That’s it – easy.
Add Photos: If selected as a winner, we will feature your company’s photos based on those available on Glassdoor. The photos will highlight your office(s), your culture and fun interactions between co-workers
- How? Gather a handful or two of some of your most recent company photos. Complete a brief online form which asks you to simply identify your employer then upload up to 10 photos at a time.
